Steven is an accomplished educational leader with over 25 years of leadership experience in the secondary education sector. With 10 years of experience as headteacher of two secondary schools with differing contexts, he has successfully led schools to achieve record-breaking outcomes by fostering a shared vision and cultivating a climate of continuous improvement.

Steven is passionate about leadership development, coaching, and creating inclusive environments where both staff and students can thrive. His inclusive and strategic approach to school improvement, improving student outcomes and teaching and learning has been instrumental in developing leaders for the future. Throughout his career, Steven has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the students in his care, effective development of classroom practice, and driving educational excellence for individuals, teams and organisations. Steven also has a very realistic understanding that leadership at all levels is challenging, with his personal development aided by learning that you don’t always get it right!  Awarded ‘Consistently Outstanding’ by Estyn for his excellence in teaching in a previous inspection framework, Steven has developed his leadership approach to focus on vision, integrity and empowering others to succeed.
